Privacy Policy

Effective: 31 August 2026 · Dragon Games Studio UK

ChessMondo collects only the information needed to run accounts, multiplayer/social features, security, support and optional premium services. We do not sell personal data.

1. Information we process

  • Account: email address, username, authentication provider, verification status and account creation/login dates.
  • Profile and content: profile image, banner, country flag, bio, posts, images, comments, likes, follows, friend relationships, club content and messages you choose to create.
  • Game data: rating, results, game history, rewards, settings and related gameplay statistics.
  • Security/technical data: session identifiers, basic browser/device compatibility information and a one-way network/IP fingerprint used for abuse prevention. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the ChessMondo user profile by this security feature.
  • Support/moderation: reports, report reason, up to 100 characters of report context, blocks, moderation actions and support correspondence.

2. Services used

  • MongoDB Atlas stores account, game and social records.
  • Cloudflare R2 stores user-uploaded images such as profile images, friend banners, post images and club logos when R2 storage is enabled.
  • Google Sign-In may provide your verified Google email and Google account identifier when you choose Google authentication.
  • Email provider is used to send one-time verification codes and essential account messages.
  • Stripe may process web subscription payments. ChessMondo does not store complete card numbers.
  • Google Play may process Android purchases when Google Play Billing is used; Google controls the payment credentials it processes.

3. Why we use data

We use data to authenticate users, provide chess and multiplayer features, operate social/community features, save preferences and progress, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, answer support requests, maintain subscriptions and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data we store and why

ChessMondo stores account data, profile data, game progress/statistics, posts, comments, uploaded images, friend/follow/club records, chat records, blocks, reports, safety actions, device/session security information and payment status references only when needed to provide the service, keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, operate moderation, support users and maintain optional premium access. We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists unless a shorter period is appropriate for temporary verification, security or abuse-prevention data. One-time verification codes are short-lived. Game/chat/report proof may be retained only as reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, legal compliance and abuse prevention. Reports are limited to reduce misuse: a user may not repeatedly report the same exact post, game session, game chat message or club chat message, and may only report the same player once within a 24-hour period.

6. Account deletion and complete removal

You can delete your account inside ChessMondo under Profile → Delete Account, or use the public Account Deletion page. New deletion uses a hard-delete process rather than leaving a user record marked “deleted”. When deletion completes, ChessMondo is designed to permanently remove the user account and associated account-owned personal data from the server database, including profile data, posts, comments, likes, follows, friends, blocks, club references, game records, verification codes and moderation records linked to the account. Account-owned uploaded media, such as profile images, post images, friend banners and club logos, is removed from configured storage before the account deletion is completed.

Deletion note: if storage cleanup temporarily fails, ChessMondo stops the final account deletion and asks the user/admin to retry, so account-owned media is not intentionally left behind after a completed deletion.

7. Reports and blocks

When you report another user, post, game opponent, game chat message or club chat message, the report is visible only to authorized moderation functions. A report requires a selected reason and a short explanation of up to 100 characters. ChessMondo may attach compact proof/context such as post text, post image URL, target username, room code, game mode, recent moves or the reported chat message. False, abusive or repeated reports are not allowed. Blocking is personal to your account: blocked users are hidden from relevant social surfaces and interactions are restricted. You can review and undo your blocks at any time from your profile.

8. Children and age

ChessMondo account registration is intended for users aged 16 or older. If local law requires parent or guardian permission for a user to use the service or make a purchase, that permission is required. Suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation material is strictly prohibited, may be removed immediately, and may be escalated according to applicable law and platform safety requirements. Adult/18+ sexual content is also prohibited in posts, profiles, club chats, game chats, usernames, images and links.

9. Security

We use HTTPS in production, authenticated sessions, access controls, rate limits and moderation/security measures. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, including UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update many profile fields directly in the service.

11. Contact

Privacy, support, abuse, copyright and child-safety contact: dragongamesstudioofficial@gmail.com. For urgent child-safety matters, use the subject CHILD SAFETY.

This policy describes ChessMondo’s current intended data flows. Play Console Data Safety answers must match the exact Android build and all SDKs actually shipped in that build.
